What is Microsoft 365?

Microsoft 365 is the leading cloud productivity and modern teamwork platform, built on the Microsoft Azure architecture. It combines familiar Office applications with intelligent cloud services and enterprise-grade security. It provides a dynamic and secure workplace accessible at any time, from any device and from anywhere. All data and user profiles are synchronised in real time across Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and other services. Integration with Entra ID provides single sign-on and centralised user management, while Intune enables device management, policy enforcement and device protection — regardless of location.

What are the key benefits of Microsoft 365?

  • Remote and offline work. Microsoft 365 enables remote working with access to files and email from anywhere in the world. Information stored in your cloud profile can be accessed and edited even from locations without a permanent internet connection. The familiar Office applications, delivered as cloud services, ensure your business is always where you need it to be — even when you’re offline. Accessing files, sharing them and collaborating on a single document is straightforward and intuitive. Microsoft 365 has become synonymous with the Modern Workplace.
  • Secure and protected environment. Microsoft 365 provides a wide range of administrative tools for protecting and controlling information in the cloud, and for applying different access policies to individual users or groups. This minimises the risk of data loss due to physical device failure or unauthorised access.
  • Powerful cloud tools and the latest application versions. Even in its most basic plan, Microsoft 365 offers much more than the familiar Office applications — Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. It also includes email services via Exchange Online, Copilot, file sharing and synchronisation (OneDrive, SharePoint Online), and Teams for collaboration and teamwork.
  • Optimises costs by transforming CAPEX to OPEX. Microsoft 365 is a subscription service that reduces capital expenditure in favour of operational costs. It also eliminates the need for infrastructure investment (servers, server and mail software) as well as the ongoing costs of maintaining them.
  • Integration with numerous solutions and the ability to add additional functionality. Microsoft 365 can be integrated with a wide range of products, allowing you to add different applications and features to any plan — such as advanced mailbox plans or security features including Microsoft Defender, Entra ID and Conditional Access. Also worth noting are the advanced tools for centralised device management via Intune, intelligent analytics through Power BI, and the ability to create personalised Copilot and AI assistants.

What business problems does it solve?

  • Unlimited accessibility and mobility — work from anywhere
  • Elimination of risk from lost or stolen devices
  • Rapid deployment of secure workflows without costly infrastructure
  • More precise control over users and data
  • Real-time collaboration without technical barriers
  • Predictable costs through flexible subscription plans tailored to business needs
